Ashley: My Tully & Weiss sabbatical was an extraordinary opportunity to go on an adventure that otherwise just wouldn't have been possible. The kind of adventure that let me visit friends and family, that let me explore new places and experiences, and that let me ask the love of my life to marry me.
I started my adventures by visiting my friends and family in the Pacific Northwest on a road trip to rival even the amount of driving I do at Tully & Weiss.
And as soon as I returned my now fiancé and I headed out to the East Coast, visiting friends in New Jersey and New York. From there we headed to the United Kingdom, visiting London, Wales, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Orkney, Skye, and so much countryside! From gin distilleries to ancient ruins, my finance and I had an extraordinary time visiting old favorite places, seeing my university friends, and creating new memories that will last for a lifetime. On Skye I asked him to marry me beside the Fairy Pools, dipping our newly ringed hands into the pools to ensure our love is forever young.
Upon our return to London we visited my fiance's family and caught a production of A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Globe itself. Then we headed off to Hungary! There we met up with other university friends of mine and made new friends to boot. From the decadence of Budapest to the beauty of the countryside, Hungary wowed and delighted us.
And now that I have returned I find myself rejuvenated and more ready than ever to fight for my clients. I'm so lucky to work for a firm that celebrates the adventure of life in and out of the courtroom.
