This month, Tully & Weiss welcomes a new associate attorney to the firm to expand our service for current and future clients. Ashely Bargenquast is now our firm's Compliance Associate. In this position, she works to bring new and existing medical cannabis entrepreneurs, patients, and caregivers into compliance with their local regulations and ordinances in order to provide them with the best framework possible for the new statewide licensing structure that was created by AB 266, AB 243, and SB 643.
Ms. Bargenquast is a recent graduate of the University of California, Davis School of Law. While at King Hall, Ms. Bargenquast co-founded the Drug Policy Reform Committee of UC Davis's National Lawyers Guild branch. Both during and after her academic career at King Hall, Ms. Bargenquast worked for the Law Offices of James Anthony as a Compliance Associate and member of the application writing team. Her experience there included regulatory and application work for the state of Nevada, California, and Hawaii.
Ashley Bargenquast is a longtime supporter of medical cannabis and has been an active advocate since 2013. After volunteering at an Americans for Safe Access summit, Ashley began work in the medical cannabis industry as a legal researcher and writer for Robert Raich and James Anthony.
